The Brownsville ISD Veterans Memorial High School Charger band is seeking a passionate and energetic director who wants to team up with a dedicated team of 4 other campus-based band directors. The position requires team teaching the marching band and concert bands, running a studio of sectionals and private lessons, and other operational tasks. Veterans band directors work in close conjunction with their feeder school who already have a team of 4 dedicated campus-based band directors. There will be an opportunity to conduct and teach the jazz band along with a concert band.


The Veterans Memorial band has been a TMEA Honor Band Semi-Finalist and is a consistent UIL Area Marching advancing band. Administration is extremely supportive of the arts. Band directors in Brownsville ISD also have the opportunity to earn the Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment. 90% of the district’s band directors have earned the TIA.

Valid Texas Teaching Certification in Music Education

High Brass Specialist Preferred
